8/4/21 Flight Attendants Duct-Tape a Drunk to His Seat

A passenger confused Frontier Airlines with the Wild West on Saturday and behaved accordingly until beleaguered flight attendants taped him to a seat with duct tape.

Maxwell Berry, 22, had two drinks before spilling a third on his shirt, after which he lurched into the bathroom and took the wet shirt off. Then he walked bare-chested through the aisle, groped the breasts of two female flight attendants, shouted that his parents were worth $2 million, and punched a male attendant who tried to deal with him.
A witness taped most of the encounter, so we know that Berry did a lot of cussing too. When the plane landed in Miami, Berry was arrested on three counts of battery.
Frontier issued a statement saying that "The flight attendants will be, as required in such circumstances, relieved of flying pending completion of investigation of the events."
"In such circumstances?" makes the event sound almost normal. Some WRP members will recall dressing up to go to the airport, and, later, knowing that undercover "air marshals" were on some flights in case someone hijacked the plane.
Nowadays, Frontier would be lucky to keep those flight attendants in the air, and even luckier if the attendants don't sue for the airline's failures to address a growing trend in boorish passengers.
Airline execs would like to ignore it -- but face it, flying is, indeed, a new Frontier. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/man-duct-taped-to-seat-groping-flight-attendants-frontier_n_610860bce4b0552883e430cb
