Today, Texas guaranteed it would join Iowa and Tennessee in allowing "permitless carry." That means that every moron in town can legally wear a loaded gun on his or her hip, anywhere in public.
The bill went through the state's House today and was approved 82 to 62, whereas the state Senate had already approved it. It's not supposed to allow felons or "family violence offenders" to carry firearms in public, according to a Senate amendment to the bill.
Just who is going to keep tracks of said felons and domestic abusers?
Now all Texas Governor Greg Abbott has to do is sign the bill. And Abbott allegedly said, on a recent radio show: “I support it, and I believe it should reach my desk, and we should have 'constitutional carry' in Texas.”
The Texas State Senator who sponsored the bill, Charles Schwertner, says that he "absolutely" thinks the legislation will make Texas a safer place, according to the Texas Tribune newspaper.
Safer for whom? So far, there is no hunting season that legalizes the shooting of Democrats, but ... just wait.
Three states -- so far. It's as if evil is racing across the country like a tiger in the night, spreading bloody insanity wherever it goes.
