Yesterday, Houston's Texas Medical Center had 1,330 ICU beds and 1,350 patients to fill them. It's reassigning 373 more beds to its ICU and could add 504 more. Meanwhile, Harris [County] Health Systems has sent 33 patients to outside hospitals -- including a pediatric hospital.  |

So when Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick says that Texas has done a lot more on the Covid-19 crisis than Dr. Fauci says it has, can he point to TMC as an example of good planning?
Does this mean Texas has the Covid-19 situation in hand?
Was Governor Abbott rushing the calendar when he allowed Texas businesses to start reopening? Should Texas impose a state-wide mask requirement?
If the federal government was on the job, would they lean on Texas to do more?
