On a busy news day, Newsmax -- that friend of Trump and critic of Biden -- felt it necessary to convene a panel to critique the looks of the elder White House dog.
"I want to show you something I noticed,” said host Greg Kelly, showing a photo of Major, a German Shepherd who is pushing 13, lying on a White House rug. “This dog looks like, I’m sorry, from the junkyard.”
Guest Craig Shirley described Major as “Very dirty and disheveled and very unlike a presidential dog.” The thoughts of the other guest go unrecorded by our source.
One hopes that David Shields and Jonathan Capeheart of The News Hour could come up with more scintillating commentary. If they saw this Newsmax segment, though, they're probably still laughing.
Fortunately for Major's feelings, White House Residence televisions are unlikely to linger on the Newsmax channel.
